Players are required to use the player package discs, and only these discs. No previously used discs. If a disc is lost, the player has the option of using the second disc from the package. Only one throw per player per hole. All players should have their own scorecards and mark "A" for aces and "M" for holes on which they hit metal. After all players in the group have thrown, discs are picked up and the group moves directly to the next tee. Players keep their scorecards for round two, using the next line on the card to record the round. The player with the most aces after all holes is declared the winner. In case of ties, the number of metal hits is used as a tie breaker. If a tie persists, a closest to the pin contest is then held to determine the event winner. The winner receives a Discraft merchandise package consisting of eight golf discs, a disc golf bag and a trophy disc. This year Discraft has also included a 2nd and 3rd place prize.
This year I am going to again be adding a CTP (-aces) to each of the 9 Permanent baskets on the course. Aces wont count towards these rewards but each basket will have a prize associated with it who we play to each basket twice per round for two rounds to that is four chances to get the closest without an ace to win that prize. If I get enough donations I may even make it for each round. This tournament has always been a very new player friendly event and I want to help spread some of the prizes around while promoting local events and business.
Stay tuned, we may be adding more chances to win more swag.
